Hi, first I wanted to thank you for such a great product, been using it since last summer.

As of Saturday the 21st my wallpaper timer quit working. Now, I am not sure exactly of the cause, 3 things happened Saturday in regards to my wallpapers/monitors;

1.) I downloaded an update (v3.0.2)
2.) I hit the freeze image button (this is and then it stopped working)
3.) and I tweaked my monitor arrangement (i.e. switched primary monitors while trying to fix the timer).

I am running Vista 32 bit.

Also, this has happened to me before (3-4 times) when I have hit the "freeze current image" button but I have always been able to get it working again after an exiting of the program and a reboot.

I even tried uninstalling/ re-installing Display Fusion to no avail.

Now, I can set up the timer and wallpapers and choose the folders/files to pull the wallpapers from etc but the first image just never changes.

Anyway, not sure what to do next and thought it would be a good idea to post this.

Thanks
DB

I'm not sure what your old version was, but with the newer versions (v2.2 and newer) the freeze images option is saved between exits. If you un-select the Freeze option, your wallpaper changer will start working again. I have had a number of people get tripped up by this, so in the next version I am going to have a warning in the Wallpaper window that says "Your wallpaper images are currently frozen, any changes may not be applied" (or something like that). Hopefully this will help everyone understand how this feature works. :)

Wow, I feel like a dolt. I sort of thought that I tried that but...must not have. Thanks and sorry to take up your time.

No problem, and believe me, you're not the first one to get caught by this. :)

I am living proof of it. Gosh I started reading the posts here and thought "No one is going to have my problem but then I saw this thread. Since the update my images do not work on the timer. After reading
Jon's reply I went and looked more closely. That is VERY subtle. When your older like me and need glasses I did not notice at all that there are pause and start symbols attached to those functions.

I am very much looking forward to the change you have suggested Jon. And BTW this proves what a great idea it is to have a forum like this. I cannot believe I finally found my answer and that I am not alone with the problem (looking closely).

Anyway, I love this product. Keep up the great work.

I'm glad you were able to find the answer to your problem so easily in the forum, that's what it's here for. :) I'll be making some improvements to this feature in a future release to make it more obvious when the images are frozen.
