Hey-o!

I've been using Display Fusion for a bit now and I'm loving it so far. I do still have one issue with my monitors going to sleep, but I've seemed to have solved it by just locking my computer if I leave for a long time.

I'm come across, not an issue, but something I don't think I've paid much attention to. Long story short (hopefully), I'm using Actual Virtual Desktops to manage my virtual desktops (cause Windows 10 is horrible at it) and I noticed that one of their programs has a Desktop Divider. It seems to be a better version of Windows snap and I realized that I have something similar with Display Fusion. However, I don't think it's working or I've managed to mess something up with the use of the Actual Tool programs.

Normally, when I use Windows snap, it's so I can have two programs side by side (like Chrome and Word). This was one of the reasons why I went with two monitors and why I'm considering a third. The problem I've noticed is actually two-fold -

1. when I try snapping a window on my second monitor, I don't get the options for that monitor, but the ones on my primary monitor. So for example - I'm trying to snap Firefox to one side, so I can add Excel to the other. However, excel (which is on the second monitor) isn't an option for me; I only see the open apps on my primary monitor (so like Chrome or Word are the options I get).

2. I have the same issue when using a custom key on my keyboard. The key is essentially an Alt+Tab key, showing what programs I have open. However, it also only shows programs that are open on primary monitor.

I can only guess it's something that needs to be set to show that, duh, I have two monitors. Not sure how to do this with my second issue, but I swear I was able to the first issue before today and I just can't remember what I may have done to change it.

A side issue is with the game Torchlight 2, which I've recently discovered. On my other games, I can use the game function to keep a game maximized, so that I can go look at a browser. Example - I'm trying to figure out my character skills and stats, so I Alt+G to get out of game to check my skills in Chrome. For some reason, though I can hear the sound of me using the shortcut, I can not leave Torchlight 2.

Not sure if it's T2 or Display Fusion.

This is unfortunately a Windows 10 issue when a button is removed from the Windows taskbar (like when DisplayFusion removes it and moves it to its taskbar. There are a couple of current workarounds:
  • Set the Taskbar Mode (Settings > Taskbar tab) to "Windows shows all, DisplayFusion shows relevant", or,
  • Disable the DisplayFusion taskbars and enable the Windows 10 multi-monitor taskbars

We are planning to fix this up, but progress is a bit slow on it unfortunately :(

Keith, were you able to find a solution to OP's question (#1 specifically)? Because I'm running into a very similar problem where snapping only shows open applications on the primary (windows) monitor, but the other two monitors (with DF taskbars) only snap - they never show available apps to snap next to it.

Hi Cody,

Unfortunately we haven't been able to implement a solution for this due to technical limitations in Windows 10. The work arounds Keith suggested should still work though.

Thanks!
