I installed Display Fusion over the weekend.

Since then my system has become very slow.

I thought my graphics card might not be up to it GeForce 5700 LE 128MB

I just tried a download, with fusion running I got a connectivity of 4kb/sec. As soon as I turned it off I get/400kb sec

I'm running an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1,5Ghz 256mb ram

I've tried cleaning my registery and trimming my service load but to no effect.

Any help would be much appreciated

Wow - this is very strange! I can't imagine why it would affect your download speeds, but I will include an option in the next version to disable some of the system hooks (like the hotkeys and maximized window dragging) so you can try that out. The new release should be ready to go in the next couple days, and I'll let you know once it's out.

Thanks,
Jon

The new version DisplayFusion has been released. You can find the new version here:
http://www.binaryfortress.com/displayfusion

If you are still experiencing the performance issues with your computer you can now disable the hotkeys in the settings window. This will disable the HotKey hooks, which may be causing the problem (but I can't imagine why). Please let me know if you still encounter this issue.

Thanks!

Thanks Jon.

Actually I already resolved the issue to a large extent.

It seems that what was happening was that my start up manager was clashing with my Norton anti-virus repeatedy requesting access to files and being denied. Adding Display Fusion to my start up may have affected this in someway, but knowing Norton it was probably an update that had downloaded. So, I'm going to declare your program 'not guilty'.

It's a great program by the way. I'll try and get some recompense to you in due course; at the moment I'm strapped for cash as I am about to take an MSc in software engineering, one of the reasons I am doubling my monitors. Meanwhile, I have identified your mystery car on Flicker....Try this: http://www.limousine-denver.com/RR.htm. I'll also get you a link from my website.

Thank you for the "not guilty" verdict. :-) I hope you get your computer issues worked out soon. Thanks a ton for that link! I suspected that it might be a Rolls Royce, but I could never find one that matched exactly.

Thanks!
