when i use short mp4 videos (like 2-4s) it starts to be missing some frames at the start or end
the gif is working fine: smooth movement
but the mp4 i created of the give with ffmpeg (perfect) is choppy after 2-3 runs // not choppy but the movement is "jumping" instead of fluent
Could you attach a couple of samples that we can try out here?

Woops! I've removed that link, we can't host stuff like that, sorry. Any chance you can create one from a safe for work gif? Or let me know what ffmpeg command you're using to convert the gif to mp4 so that I can test on one here?

when i switch to desktop the first run is correct - but after the second run it "skips frames"

It seems to be working ok for me so far. Quick question, if you choose the GIF instead of the MP4, does that make any difference?

yes it does make a difference
if i use the gif the whole scene is shown - with the cube not jumping for the start of the new round: http://hoffmeister.tk/bfdf/cube.gif
if i use MP4 it jumps the last 1s and creates a not smooth workthrough: http://hoffmeister.tk/bfdf/error.mp4 (shows the error pretty well)

Ok, interesting! Do you have a third party video codec pack installed, like CCCP Project or something like that? If so, which one?
