Hello,

I am using my laptop with several second monitors. Those second monitors have different aspect ratios (4:3, 16:9; 16:10,...). I have quiite a lot of wallpaper images (mainly my own photographs) with different dimensions corresponding to different aspect ratios. Is it possible to have DisplayFusion select randomly images but only among those that correspond to the aspect ratio of the monitor that is currently connected?

Serge.

This is something we may add in the future, so I've added your vote to the feature request. We'll be sure to post an update if/when we're able to implement it.

Thanks!

Just want to add my vote to the outstanding feature request for conditional selection of random wallpapers. Ideally, it would be nice if DF would be more likely to select images whose aspect ratio matched that of the screen it was to be displayed on.

Thanks - loving the software so far.

Will this feature request also cover the similar but different requirement of displaying the same wallpaper but in different resolutions (when available) on 2 or more monitors?

Example:
I have a 29" 21:9 monitor
I have a 65" 16:9 TV 4K

Both are connected to my PC and both display wallpaper from the fabulous Interfacelift however the 21:9 monitor gets a zoomed in/cropped version of the wallpaper which is being displayed on the 4K TV in the correct resolution.

If it's not covered by the above feature request I can create a new thread if necessary, or is it just an option I've missed?

Cheers

Wouldn't DF just recognise those two files as two different wallpapers?

Yes, you may be right, I guess it would and perhaps that is where the limitation is.

As I have it set to use Interfacelift, which has multiple resolution versions of the same image available my hope was it would be doing something clever and saying "I will display this image but I need 2 different versions of it".

But as you say it may not be that clever and because it needs 2 different files would therefore cancel itself out with the setting to display the same image on both monitors!
