Running latest version of displayfusion on W10. Used to work flawlessly but now whenever it changes, the PC freezes for about 1-2 seconds.

Could I get some assistance on fixing this?

Thanks

In the wallpaper window, if you click Wallpaper Settings and disable the "Use transitions when changing" option, does that make any difference?

No it still freezes for a second. I'm hoping the solution would still leave me with the transitions working.

No worries, that was just a test. In the Settings > Advanced Settings window, if you enable the "Wallpaper: Generate Smaller Files (lower quality)" option, does that make any difference?

Just tried it, still freezing. That one lasted a bit longer than usual.

I think I've found the problem. Have disabled the taskbar from changing colour to the wallpaper and that doesn't freeze anymore. So do you have any idea why this is affecting it?

Ah, interesting! Did you have that option enabled in DisplayFusion, or in the Windows Settings app?

Got the same problem while DF was changing the wallpapers for my three monitors. It turned out that one of the three monitors (I tought I had set to a black coloured background) was set to a wallpaper folder which I deleted a while ago.

So I guess DF had the problem of not finding any JPGs. ???

I started having this same problem after updating to the Windows 10 May 2019 Update. It does seem related to the setting that automatically picks the aero color from the wallpaper.
Disabling that option in both the Windows settings and DisplayFusion settings fixes the freeze for me.
