Hello,

I am running Windows 10 with a 1 over 3 multi monitor setup. For the bottom 3 screens I have one tri monitor wallpaper with "Use the same image on each monitor" then I use the "Combine with..." option to span the wallpaper to the other two. For the 4th monitor which is the 1 that is over top of the 3 I just have it set to a solid color. See proper setup in image 1.

For some reason all of a sudden when the PC sleeps/hibernates/restarts it is mixing up the screens, see image 2.

I keep resetting the setup back to the way it should be but it keeps going back to be all jumbled up. Need some help to understand how to fix this problem.

I've had a couple other reports of similar behaviour but I'm having trouble getting it to happen here. I'm going to pass this over to our devs for a code review to see if they can turn anything up.

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Hi Keith, I just downloaded the beta and will get it a test to see if the issue is still happening. Thanks for working on this item for us! Love DisplayFusion!

Well so far so good, I have not had the wallpaper shifting around any more since installing the Beta.

Thanks for working on fixing this for us!

Hi Keith,

many months later and I'm having this issue too. I'm using the latest release 9.5, also windows10. perhaps I'm missing it but I can't see what version you two were talking about earlier.

anyhow, for me if I try changing wallpaper profile with the GUI it changes breifly and then reverts back to the previous profile. If I change profiles thru the command line it works like you'd expect.

this is completely new, I was just having no issues at all (I have been organizing and creating old and new profiles this week) and now for exactly the last 2 days it happens each time.

just wanted to add this

@Michelle: That's strange! So changing it with DisplayFusionCommand.exe works?

yeah, it does, I've written a couple of AHK scripts to workaround this problem, which I was going to do anyhow, so I'm not really too bothered, but thought it would be good for you to know.

Run, "C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusionCommand.exe" -wallpaperloadprofile "Ableton Blackout"

Ok, thanks, I can't even imagine what might be going on there. I will check in with our developers to see if they can spot a difference in how the wallpaper is loaded with the configuration window vs. the command prompt.

@Michelle: Could you send us two debug logs? One for when you set it with the Desktop Wallpaper window and it reverts back, and the other for when you set it with the command line and it works?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
