There must be a simple issue with this but not all applications seem to be observing the monitor split I have saved. For example Chrome will expand to fill the split when the title bar is double-clicked, but Microsoft Outlook will not (it seems to only expand 60-70% of the split) and I have to manually size the app to fit the split. What is the reason for this?

Do you use different scaling levels on each monitor? Could you also attach a copy of your troubleshooting info?

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Keith,

I only have one physical monitor (ultra wide screen) and I am splitting it into two virtual monitors. I have the same scaling level for each virtual split monitor. Attached is my trouble shooting file. It seems that all of the Microsoft Office 2016 products do not behave properly.

Ok, thanks! If you click the Maximize button on the window instead of double-clicking the titlebar, does that make any difference?

I am having a similar issue. Office 2016 products do not maximise within the window split. I am still running the trial but Office apps are the primary reason for needing the software.

Methods I have tried
Maximise Buton in the title bar
double clicking on the title bar
Using the Run Function on Window options

Office version is 1801 (Build 9001.2144 Click to Run)

I'm on Office build 1804 here and no issues maximizing to splits. Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info?

Thanks! I don't see anything out of the ordinary there. Could you attach a debug log?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Try to maximize an Office window to a split and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
