Hello, Ive been using Actual Multiple Monitors but i Really really dont like it as often when I go to minimize a window on my second monitor it causes a ghost effect for lack of a better term. Its still visible (but blurry) but not really there, and its a pain to fix and Im just sick of it. So I thought Id give Display Fusion a try instead.

The main reason why I want to run either program is because I have my game (World of Tanks) on my main 42" screen, and run FF and TS on the second 24" and when I click on the second monitor the game minimizes. That just completely defeats the purpose of having two monitors IMO. So I installed the trial-pro version of display fusion. I tried the instructions found here: http://www.displayfusion.com/KB/PreventWindowDeactivation/

But I dont seem to be having any luck. Should I be able to get it to prevent the window from minimizing and have no other issues like I had with AMM I will gladly purchase the pro version.

Unfortunately it doesn't always work with every game, but we'll test it out here with World of Tanks to see what we can find out :)

Good luck, I hope you can find out something good! It boggles me that Windows would think that minimizing it would be a good idea...

Sorry, haven't had a chance to do some serious testing on this yet. I will keep you posted as soon as I do!

Finally had a chance to test this out, and was able to make it work. I created a Window Location rule to run the Prevent Deactivation function on a 60 second delay. I've attached a screenshot for reference.

If you run into issues where minimizing applications on the second monitor end up "ghosting," try disabling the "Animate windows when minimizing or maximizing" option in the Windows System > Performance settings.

Hope that helps! If you need a new 30-day trial key, just let me know :)

I just want to understand first. So from clicking on the second screen theres a 60 second delay on when world of tanks will minimize on the first screen? Am I understanding correctly?

Eh thats not perfect but it serves my purposes well enough to do what I need it for. Looks like Ill be picking up the program here shortly.

Glad to hear it! To answer your other question, the delay is the time between when DisplayFusion detects the game window, to when it runs the function. So if you open WoT and immediately click on the other monitor, it will still minimize, but if you open WoT and wait 60 seconds, the function will run, and then it will no longer minimize when you click on the other monitor :)

Window Location was replaced by Triggers in DisplayFusion 8.0. Please see this updated guide: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/preventing-game-windows-from-minimizing/?ID=ab5ec329-4190-4dff-8d63-e9b5f611656e

Thanks!
