I found a setting in the windows registry to stop the windows start button from stealing focus:

In Regedit (Start button+R, then type regedit), the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout value was changed from 0 to 30d40

This allows me to watch netflix on my monitor with the displayfusion taskbar and be able to hit the start button on the other monitor (Default windows taskbar) and netflix stays maximized and does not lose focus...

HOWEVER

If I run netflix on the monitor with the default windows taskbar and hit the start button on the displayfusion taskbar, netflix gets minimized on the other monitor (displayfusion taskbar steals focus)

The issue is definitely with displayfusion in particular since the issue does not happen with the windows taskbar when that registry entry is changed. A possible solution is to run the displayfusion taskbar on the the other monitor (set it as the secondary monitor) but this option isn't a viable solution for me as I want display fussion running on that specific monitor.

I also thought it might be a classic shell issue (since I'm using classic shell along with displayfusion), but that's not the case since I'm using classicshell on the default windows taskbar and as I said the registry setting allows me to use netflix without focus being stolen via the default windows taskbar/start button, so it's definitely not classicshell.

Is there a way to enable displayfusion taskbar to NOT steal focus? Just like the default windows taskbar regedit fix? If not, could we please get that feature added?

STEPS THAT I TRIED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE (all didn't work):

-checked the setting "Allow taskbar reloading while full screen applications are running." and this did not fix the issue.

-checked Settings > Advanced Settings, "Wallpaper > Use internal processing" option.

-Setting a key combination on the Prevent Window Deactivation function (Settings > Functions tab) and then running that on the Netflix window.

-Changing Settings > Advanced Settings > Troubleshooting > Force Old Window Focus Method > "use the old method to focus windows"

As far as i know, yeah, it's always been like that... how come clicking on the windows taskbar doesn't unfocus it, does it have some sort of special system powers that allows it to do that where other apps can't? That sucks :/
