I was messing around with my normal Windows 7 taskbar, and I applied something and then suddenly the windows on my DF taskbar changed from full text windows to only icons :(. How can I get the full text icons back again?
Here's a screenshot of how it's now (this is the DF taskbar)

You need to go back to the Settings and enable the Icons and Text feature.

I don't have that option, currently running 3.0.6.

Look for a registry setting called "TaskbarsIconsOnly", or check your Windows 7 settings. DisplayFusion 3.0.6 will use the Windows 7 taskbar setting when that registry key isn't present.

Welcome back ;) and the registry key wasn't there :(. I'll reinstall 3.0.6 this afternoon, and if that doesn't work I'll install the latest 3.1 beta.

Sorry, I misread the first time I replied - if you changed something in W7, it was probably to set the task bar to always combine, hide labels - and thus your DF taskbar is now doing that as well.

Change the setting to something else, then back to always combine, hide labels. Close DF. Change it back to only combine when full or never combine. Reboot. DF should be back to normal.

That didn't work, reinstalling 3.0.6 didn't work as well. Installed the latest Beta 9 and that finally worked!

I recently reformatted and reinstalled and I cant seem to get this feature back. I have the full names on the taskbar programs, but Id like it to go back to how I had it configured previously with just the icon.

Ive scoured the settings and dont have that setting mentioned above. I also looked around for a link to the beta and couldnt track that down.

Thanks!

The Beta is open to paid members who request beta testing status from Jon - it is not openly available.

As for scouring the settings, have you also looked at the registry settings (in the registry)?

Well Im a paid member and I definitely had this feature before I reformatted but Ive never specifically requested an update from anyone, so Im not sure how I was able to get this functionality previously. Is it possible this was available in a previous release I had or something?

I looked through the registry but didnt see any settings that looked like it would change this.

DisplayFusion 3.1 is it out now, and will definitely make it easier to enable the text and icons on the taskbar. :)
