I just got an awesome new Samsung CHG90 ultra widescreen monitor. I've used DisplayFusion to create three virtual monitors, and everything seems to be working well. One setting that I'd like to adjust if there's a way to: I don't want any windows to ever span more than the virtual monitor they're on. If I click the maximize button, I only want them to maximize to that particular virtual monitor.

Where this is a specific issue is with VMware Workstation. I want to select View --> Full Screen to take it into fullscreen mode and get rid of all the menus. However, when I do this, it spans the whole physical monitor -- not the virtual monitor as I'd like it to do. I can't just maximize the window to the virtual monitor -- as it leaves all the menus. Is there any way to configure this?

This is exactly what I'm looking for and for the exact same reason. This exact feature works in Virtual Display Manger 3.3.2.43055. Unfortunately I would prefer to use DisplayFusion for it's other features. However, without this one very specific feature I cannot.

Please don't say there's no way for you to do it because it is currently being done by your competitor. When you get this implemented I will purchase DisplayFusion, but not before.

My biggest need is for this to work with VMware Workstation Pro, my current version is 12.5.9 build-7535481.

VDM works with it but DisplayFusion does not.

I will be a happy camper if you can get this working. It's a pain using VMware Workstation without the full screen mode.

I realize now that this feature request has been open for many years. In researching a solution for my new monitor, I mistakenly thought DisplayFusion could do this already. If I had known DisplayFusion didn't support confining full screen video to a Split, I wouldn't have purchased the program. That would really be the killer feature. If you could please keep this feature request under consideration, I would appreciate it, thanks.

Still waiting for this to work with VMWare Workstation. Competitor products can do it, not sure why we can't get it in DisplayFusion. It's the one feature I really wish I had.

My solution right now is that I'm using both DisplayFusion and VDM together. The only reason I have VDM also is for the full-screen VMWare. It sees the split as a full-screen. I have my ultrawidescreen split into three virtuals, and both DF and VDM are configured with three virtuals. VDM allows for the VMware full screen, and DF gives me the other features I need, such as multiple taskbars on the virtuals. It seems to be working fine, although I'm not sure how they might be stepping on each other.

Any progress or ETA for this feature? I've recently switched to a 49" curved and am in need of this exact feature.

Hi, Keith I also need the full screen on split.
As I see the feature request was requested years ago... but no progress.
I have attached 2 images, so you can figure out how it looks by using VDM...
But I like DF and want to buy your product, not VDM
Can you install VDM and try to press F11 inside of Chome?
So you will see how it works and I hope will do the same thing for DF

Just FYI, I've stopped using VDM and DF together. I think they may have been stepping on each other -- I was seeing some strange behavior. I basically just gave up on full-screen splits. I made this DF request years ago, so it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

I've seen threads about this topic here since 2014. I'd love to buy this, but only for one reason and that's fullscreen with splits.

It doesn't seem like there's any intention of adding this -- it's been requested multiple times for years now. As a Pro (paying) customer, it would be nice if feature requests would actually be acted on at some point. We know it's possible because VDM can do it.

Agreed - Massive issue and Display Fusion needs to do a better job of supporting its paying customers.

Hi I would like to know if there has been an update regarding this. I currently own Display Fusion and would like to create splits so that F11 (fullscreen) works with Opera GX and Ableton Live 12.
Currently, maximizing works fine inside of splits, but the fullscreen F11 functionality still ignores splits.
