Hi Keith

As I am not sure if you were getting my emails, I thought I would add the question here.

The original question was this:

"I am trying to write a macro to populate a combo box in a form.
Once I have got to the form via a trigger, I can use the parent window handle to get the controls.
However, I have three controls that are of type ComboBox so I use GetChildWindowByClass but this only returns the first combobox.
How do I get the 3rd instance of this type of control?
Is there a method to get all the controls of a certain type within a parent window?"

I think it was assing to the developers under ID 39703.

Have you been able to get a response from them yet?

kind regards
Chris

Sorry Chris, it doesn't look like they were able to get to it yet. I will follow-up with them on Monday to see if they can bump the priority up.

Thanks!

Hi Keith,
I have the same situation and question that Chris had. From what I can tell no progress has been made on this. It seems to me that the answer would be updating the function GetChildWindowByClass() would return an array of handles.

An update would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,
I can't download the script. It says [protected] and it's not a link. Did you check the (or leave checked) the Protect these attachments when you posted your response? I think that's why I can't look at it.

Sorry. Didn't realise that I needed to unprotect it.

Thanks Chris, that did the trick. Plus, the script will do what I need. Thanks for sharing it.
