Hi Binary Fortress,

It has been requested before but the conversation died out and nothing happend, now i'm requesting it again.
I just found out that www.ishadow.com have created VDM and it is really awesome, if it worked with DF. I have flickering taskbar, apps that refuse to start when VDM is running and i can keep going. Tho the app part just started today, so I'm thinking driver issue / bad coding.
Can we have that feature in DF please, why you ask? THIS is why :)

3 different video apps in normal fullscreen mode on the first monitor
Twitch chat, a game, and a macro panel on the main monitor
Audio panel and random browser on the third monitor

Only your imagination is the limit on how to divide your monitor and it is EPIC! Way better than any current build in windows divide function.

Please take it very serious. I've shown the other program to a few streamer who had the same reaction as me when they saw what was possible.

The way to setup areas in VDM should be integrated in DF as it is really nice way of doing it.

I know it is technical difficult to do it, but looking at all the other awesome feature in DF i think you are up for the task :)

We do have Monitor Splitting already, but at the moment it doesn't support constraining full screen applications. I will definitely let you know if/when it does.

I will also investigate the incompatibilities with VDM to see if we can at least make DisplayFusion play nice with VDM :)

Well i just found your split screen a second ago and as you mention it doesn't support fullscreen anything, and that is a BIG part of splitting a screen as you can see in my example in the first post or if you have Nvidia Sorround in mind where games are okay to use full sorround where as browser (youtube, twitch, mixer and so on) needs to be able to do fullscreen in the virtual monitor, same goes for VLC, MPC-HC and others. I would much rater that you spend time fixing that, than making it work with VDM, as VDM broke my windows installation and limited my overall FPS to 40. First i spend hours trying to revert it and then i finally gave up and reinstalled windows and I have spend hours reconfigured everything. VDM was the last thing i installed on my new PC before i was going to do backup and it broke it all, their functions are nice, but their code is garbage.

So for any one thinking VDM would be nice to try out... DON'T!
Yet again DF has proven to be far superior than any thing else on the market. My experience is when you implement something 99% of the time is tested to a certain extend that there is a good chance it's not breaking user systems. At least that is my experience

Ok, thanks for the feedback! We will definitely post an update if/when we're able to make splitting compatible with full screen apps.
