The program is working fine expect the settings. Every time I click on the settings options, the loading banner appears, but no window is open. Simple nothing happens. I already reinstalled the program, but the problem remains.

I need to modify some triggers and can't do it now...

Are you comfortable using regedit? If so, could you do the following?

  • Exit DisplayFusion
  • Set Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion\LogDebugLevel to 1
  • Launch DisplayFusion
  • Try opening the settings
  • In File Explorer, paste the following into the address bar: %localappdata%\DisplayFusion
  • Zip up DisplayFusion.log and reply with it attached

Thanks, I'm not seeing anything super out of the ordinary in the log :(

Could you try installing the latest 9.4 Beta and let me know if the settings window is broken there too?

Still the same :(
I could remove completely and the install again. See if works.
The only problem is that I did save my configurations (Triggers, Functions and etc.)

I really don't want to do all those things again :/
I will put the log with the 9.4 installed.

Doing a full uninstall won't likely help. It sounds like the process is just dying for some reason. Does the Windows Event Viewer > Application log show any errors after trying to launch the Settings window?

My Windows 10 is in PT-Br. So my logs will be in that language too.
But there was 3 error on it.

I put it in the Google Translation for better comprehension.

The log seems to show that it's crashing when trying to access the PT-BR mui file for the mystify screen saver, which is really strange.

What antivirus are you running on your system?

Ok, thanks for trying that out! I'll test on a system here with the PT-BR language pack and see if I can reproduce the same issue.

Hah, yep, sorry about that, I didn't really think that through. Are you comfortable using regedit? If so, can you export the following registry key?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion

If you try these commands at an elevated command prompt, they should try to repair any issues with the Windows system files. Can you see if that helps?

  • sfc /scannow
  • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

I updated the Windows to 1809 version, and now is working normally again.

Glad to find a similar Overwrite option also for Window Position Profiles: in Advanced Settings window, searching for Overwrite reveals it. The name is "Disable Overwrite Confirmation Prompt" under the Window Position Profiles section. Thanks a lot!:laugh:
