Hi,

A quick question, is there a known issue when using the Info Tag > Title?

I am using JPG files as wallpaper slideshow.

I've added Camera Model and Title fields to the files using Imagemagick, these fields are displayed as expected when I view properties in win 7 Explorer under:
- Description > Title and
- Camera > Camera model

The camera model field is always displayed correctly in the wallpaper, however, the title field is not shown.

Have I set the title field in the correct place or does DF look for the title elsewhere?

Many thanks,
John

Could you attach one of the images you're testing with? I'll have a look and see if I can figure out what's happening there.

Hi,

I've attached a zip file that has:
- (DF) wallpaper settings.png
- screensave.jpg - displayed screensaver
- explorer.png - file details in explorer
- exiftool cmd.png - tool as used to add model and title
- x.jpg - modified image
- x - original.jpg - unmodified image

Hope this helps.

Thanks! In my testing, it's using the file's "Subject" field, and falling back to the file name if that's not found. However, I believe it's supposed to use Subject, and then try falling back to Description, Title, and then the file name. I've added this to our list to fix up and we'll let you know when it's all sorted out. In the meantime, you can put your custom text in the Subject and that should allow it to be shown in the field.

Hello, I tried to pimp up my wallpaper show. in DF 9.2, I had no success with the title tag, subject tag was OK! After switching now to DF 9.3 Beta 3, title tag is displayed properly, but now I miss the subject tag. Attached are some files to verify my setup.

@Redtif: That's actually a separate issue. only works for online wallpaper sources (WallpaperFusion, etc). I have added a feature request to our list for adding a info tag :) Thanks!
