I found that the titlbar-buttons do overlap with Thunderbird's own buttons, so I wanted to move them, but I found that no matter what I enter in the Compatibility-Settings, they keep the same position. (sees screenshot. Background window is TB)

Did you click OK on the Compatibility rule, and Apply on the main Settings window after changing the values?

Yes, I even restarted DF.
Oh! In the rule you've specified the offset for the non-maximized windows, but the offset for maximized windows is still set to 0. Try setting that one as well.
