Hello:

i am using DF in several of our remote sites to to facilitate the use of touch screen monitors for driver interaction with our ticketing system. In one location, i am running DF 8.1.2 on Windows 7 pro, and am having an issue with displayfusion not retaining its settings for window location (triggers) and mirror monitor keys after they system is rebooted. i can go to the location and easily change the settings to what they should be, but whenever the system is rebooted, those settings are lost and the system reverts to some old settings that did not work (old trigger is in there, but does not do what i need it to do, have to edit and revamp the trigger the trigger every time) and the mirror monitor key combination is lost and i have to put it back in. any suggestions as to what i need to check or change to make this stop happening?

BTW i am using 8.1.2 because of a .Net framework conflict with MS SQL Express 2014. Displayfusion wants one version, but SQL wants another, and the twain shall not be rectified, i think.

Thanks,
rT

It's unfortunate that you're stuck on such an old version, we've fixed quite a bit since 8.1.2 and I wouldn't be surprised if the bug is fixed by just installing the new 9.3. If updating DisplayFusion isn't an option I would look at anything that might be preventing registry writing (like an antivirus app).

Thanks for replying!

the dotnet requirement for 9.0 and up would not play well with my SQL express (how's that for you--MS's own stuff won't work together!). So, i had to find a happy medium for the time being. I am working on a new system for another site that will have MS SQL express 2016 and hopefully the latest and greatest DF working together.

I guess i will have to go back and revisit the system and see if i can get 9.0 or higher installed on it.......

Thanks!
