I tried DF for 2-3 weeks in my home office, but it caused problems with 2-3 apps that I rely on (i.e. FileCenter 10 Pro Plus, HotDocs Developer 11, and Amicus Attorney Desktop 2014).

When I uninstalled DF, most of the problems stopped. But a new one started with my Word 2010 documents: they began randomly switching to a view that was uneditable and that I could leave only by shutting down Word. I'll try attaching a sample screenshot.

This morning I contacted HotDocs support. They confirmed that they have had problems with DF causing HotDocs to not perform properly. The HotDocs tech remoted in to my PC, looked at the HotDocs template (a Word document) that I was trying to edit that had

When I uninstalled DF from my Win 10 machine, I recall the software offering me a choice as to whether I wanted to completely uninstall DF, or to partially uninstall it. (I've forgotten the exact wording that appeared during the uninstall.) A partial uninstall was recommended if I intended to reinstall later.

I chose the latter choice (i.e. partial uninstall) and am regretting it. After my conversation with the HotDocs tech person, I suspect that the lingering DF residue on my PC is what is causing my Word 2010/HotDocs template editing problems.

DF, would you please contact me ASAP and walk me through getting all of DF uninstalled? I can't find anything under "Binary Fortress" or "DisplayFusion" when I go to my "Uninstall or change a program" screen under Control Panel, so I'm going to need help getting DF off of my PC.

Thank you. Too bad this software did not work with my other software. It seems like for many multi-monitor users it is helpful.

Sorry to hear that you're still running into trouble! The only thing the partial uninstall leaves is the registry settings and some temp files in the %localappdata%\DisplayFusion folder. If the DisplayFusion processes aren't showing up in the Windows Task Manager any more, there isn't anything it could be doing to interfere. If you want to try the complete uninstall though, you can either install DisplayFusion again, then uninstall and choose complete, or delete the following two items:

In the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion
In Windows explorer: %localappdata%\DisplayFusion (just enter that into the address bar in Windows Explorer)
