I'm running a system with three monitors. I've created a custom function to span a window across two monitors. Is there a way make this toggle like the "Span Window Across all Monitors" function? Is this something I would need a script to do? Currently I run the function and the window spans two monitors. I would like to be able to run it again and have the window return to its previous state. Thanks.

You would need a Scripted Function to do that, yep. I'll see if we can whip up a sample script for you :)

I put a scripted function together that should work for you. Here's how to get it into DisplayFusion:

  • Download the file attached to this post
  • Open this DisplayFusion Settings window to the 'Functions' tab
  • Click the 'Add Scripted' button
  • Copy the code from the file downloaded in the first step into the window that pops up
  • Give the script a key combination (if you want), then click OK to save and close the script, then OK again to close the Settings window and apply your changes

I hope this works for you!

It sounds like you set up the script correctly, but it could be that on your system your monitor bounds are set up differently. If you send me your troubleshooting info, it will contain the information I would need to set the script up for you :). Here's how to get that info to me:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!
