Awesome! Thanks so much. I appreciate what you do very much. Great software, constant updates. Just perfect.

I just barely got settled into Windows 7, and how convenient that you're holding this sale.

I really like this program... I'm extreamly sad that the sale was only for 24 hours!

It's a pity your sale was so short. You can't expect everyone to be checking your website everyday just to see if there is a 24 hour special. I would have bought a license at the Win 7 special price but I won't now so I guess both your company and I lose instead of both win. Maybe an email if you have another quick special? That way those that are interested may actual pay for the software but if we don't know......

Thanks for the program anyway. It is useful and I appreciate the work put into it. But at normally Can$25 it is a bit too expensive as a utility for me to justify spending the money on Pro.

Have to agree, I too would have bought 2 licenses at the discount price.
How come the ad was still up when the sale had finished (and still is on the 26th October)

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get a chance to take advantage of the sale. I don't like sending out bulk emails to try and sell DisplayFusion. However, you can subscribe to the Binary Fortress Software RSS feed. This way you'll be notified of any new software releases, as well as any future sales. :)

Oh no, I too was sad to see such a short sale. I've been meaning to purchase DisplayFusion for a while now, I wouldn't have hesitated at that sale price. I hope that you will hold another sale in the near future, but in the mean time I will be DisplayFusionless.

No offence, but an app like this is probably worth about $12.50 but not more.

You may wish to rethink your sales\ pricing offer.

The offer price seems fair but is unavailable now and you didn't promote the offer except through your own news feed. You are offering an (albeit promising) utility, but this wouldn't normally warrant signing up to a news feed!

You are clearly a talented coder, but I suggest you seek some advice on how to sell the product...

Regards

Martin

Dear Jon,

I have to agree with the earlier posters. I was using the trial license, and this sale would definately have made me buy it. Sad that you didnt inform the trial users of this sale, after all u did get my email for it.
Also I have to agree that while this is a good tool, I'd mainly use it for extending my taskbar. 25 dollar for that sole function is slightly high.

with regards,
Martin

@Derek: I'm sure thre will be more sales in the future.

@Martin (first): I'm sorry that you don't think DisplayFusion is worth the listed price. DisplayFusion takes an enormous amount of time and effort to develop and support, and as a result I believe that the asking price is fair.

@Martin G: I never send out any unsolicited emails to people, as I hate receiving spam. :) However, I am working on changing the trial license request page so that people can opt-in to receive notifications about new versions and upcoming sales. Thank you for your suggestion!

Testing the software out right now and it works as advertised.

@martin If you don\'t like his software don\'t buy it, if you like it and can\'t afford it right now use the 30 day trial and take the time to save 25 dollars.

The last thing you should do is badmouth the developer for what you \"feel\" the software should cost.

@Jon Nice work on the software, i\'ve just subscribed to your RSS feed ;)

I have been developing software for almost 20 years and agree wholeheartedly that you cannot tell a developer how much to charge for his software. You have the option to not purchase and go on your merry way. I would advise that you purchase. This software is clearly superior to UltraMon and Jon obviously is on top of updates. I was able to download a trial to use with Windows 7 before 7 was released to the public. If you do not like to pay $23 (US) for a utility then see the extra as a way to invest in a developer who is going to keep you happy with frequent updates and a quality product.

Jon, great idea on the opt-in. I appreciate not receiving unsolicited emails even though I spent a little extra buying your software.

Keep up the good work,
Steve

@Jon - We all appreciate the fact that you don't like to send out unsolicited emails, but that is one thing and spam is quite another. I doubt you would find a single person who is on your email list that would have objected to receiving a notice about the sale...on the contrary. As you can see from the comments here, the opposite is true.

You say you don't want to infringe on people by sending such an email, but you are asking them to sign up for your RSS feed which is more intrusive providing a lot of information people may not be interested in for maybe months.

Here's a great idea...since we are all suffering in this economy and all love your program, why not email everyone on your list wishing them Happy Holidays and offer this sale again? That would please all of us and be seen as a very nice gesture on your part.

Since you would be notifying people instead having just those who happen to be on your site that day, you would sell far greater numbers than by the way you did it and those numbers would more than make up for the $12.50 "lost" on each one. Do the numbers afterward and you'll see that you come out way ahead...in fact we all do!

@Saidas: Thank you for the kind feedback. :) Because of the positive response about receiving emails about DisplayFusion offers, I have decided to send out an email during the next sale. I can't say when it will be, but rest assured that you will receive an email if you have opted in when requesting a trial license.
