Hi Jon!

Thanks for making DisplayFusion such a nifty app!

One (possible) bug I've noticed is when using two different wallpapers a portion of the wallpaper from my secondary is what is used as the wallpaper under the (transparent) taskbar on my primary monitor. This is under Vista SP1 and happens on both x86 and x64 versions.

Attached is the most dramatic way I could think of to show this. Note that in that image the background on the secondary monitor is plain red and the primary is blue with the taskbar set to be transparent (and not red). The taskbar itself should do the typical Aero thing and show as slightly blurred glass over the blue color.

I've fiddled around with various options in DisplayFusion with no results. This happens with images as well as colors in the same way, and the monitors are both the same resolution (1680x1050).

:EDIT:
Double-checked, and moving the taskbar around (top, bottom, sides, and over to the second monitor) produces the same wrong background under the taskbar.

:EDIT 2:
Upon further research, this seems to be a bug in how Vista handles dual monitors when your primary is on the right and secondary is set to the left. It seems like a simple workaround is possible in the form of swapping the two wallpaper positions in the final stitched image that DisplayFusion hands off to Windows. I've attached another example of what would probably work around this. Basically, that's a screenclip of part of the Vista wallpaper selector dialogue and in this example the final stitched image shows red as on the right and blue as on the left, when on the actual monitors the reverse is true (ie, red is on the left monitor, blue on the right).

It seems like it would be pretty simple to implement an option to swap this behavior through DisplayFusion as a workaround for this Vista bug. If this is possible, I'd be happy to beta test the workaround if needed. Then again, doing this might simply reverse the bug so the wrong taskbar backgrounds are swapped... :|

Thanks!

This is a problem with Vista that has bugged me for a long time. Unfortunately if I switch the wallpaper images around in the outputted image they will also be reversed on the monitors as well. For now I can't see a good way to fix this, but I'm always on the hunt for a solution.
